Everyone feels lonely from time to time. Approaching the notion of ‘loneliness’ as an innate part of the human psyche, and a daily phenomenon in modern society, Water with a Soul seeks to explore a method to solve this problem from an experimental perspective. Inspired by a well-known study by Dr. Masaru Emoto about the consciousness of water, this work uses water as an intermediary substance to store ‘spirit of presence’ for the process of human connection. If a ‘companion’ could be bought as a product, how far would society go?
Installation’s activity: The guests are invited to rouse “water with a soul” by inscribing on a ‘blank’ bottle an activity which they love to do with a friend.
Water with a soul
to _______________________ with you
Personal message, and presence will be imprinted onto the water’s soul for somebody who takes it home. In exchange, a guest can grab home any written bottle by others.
Special Thanks to John Hew , Tuan Anh Nguyen and all the lovely guests for your enormous supports and connection.
